Benefits and Drawbacks of free educationStudents from household with a combined annual income of up to R350 000 they will benefit because they will be able to fulfill their dreams. Nowadays higher education has become very important, each and every job has some certain criteria for certain post. Everyone who passed grade 12 and qualify to go to higher institutions, has a chance to go to study in any institutions they want. Most of south African people where not afford to pay for their fees in higher institutions, south African government has given everyone equal chance to pursue higher studies. On the other side free education in south Africa will lead on economically problem in our country. Its going to be hard for people who didn't passed their grade 12 with high average, because they wont admit them in higher institutions, they will be looking for people who passed their grade 12 with distinctions. It will be certainly beneficial to everybody those who could get admissions. If free education continues in our country everything is going to be expensive and people who pay tax they will pay a lot of money.

Education is very important nowadays.Most of south African people will be able to get to higher institutions, although some of them won't use the opportunity. Nowadays to be able to get a job you need to have qualification, skills and experience. Probably this is the best opportunity for south African people to get qualified jobs, and the poverty will decreases from other families. Most people didn't go to higher institution ,because they did not afford to pay. This is the best opportunity for everyone in south Africa.
#freeeducation was a great campaign and it raised a huge awareness on the social media platforms. not only that, it also awakened the government and now we can see some changes and NSFAS is coming with those changes.
ReplyDeleteFree Education is not a solution for our country, think of facilities that we use on universities, lecture halls, WI-FI. There are people cleaning the universities they also need to get payed, If government change NSFAS to a bursary that means other people wont get payed, because while NSFAS was a loan people has to pay back the money. Free education means NSFAS it no longer a loan. Lectures also need to be paid.
DeleteI still feel like free education is not a solution. If free education is implemented, it will change the entire education system in our country. However, free education can benefit those students who are from poor family background. It can give them the opportunity to improve family situation. So for free education idea to work, I think the country needs to plan its budget very careful. And this can take years to work.
